Dental implants are small titanium screws that support replacement teeth. These implants are firmly fixed to your jaw, acting like new tooth roots, providing a secure anchorage for your flawless smile.

ASSESSMENT AND PREPARATION
Before we can place implants, we need to assess your jaw. Bone loss can mean we can’t place an implant. A full mouth scan will ensure you have sufficient bone density to support your implant.
This appointment is an excellent opportunity to discuss your procedure. We’ll also ensure you have plenty of time to ask any questions.
On the day of your implant placement, we’ll provide you with an anaesthetic to numb the treatment area. Our supportive team will also do everything possible to ensure you feel comfortable and relaxed as your treatment begins.

PLACEMENT AND RECOVERY
We’ll place your implants next. Following this routine surgery, the implants and jaw can take a while to fuse. We’ll check on you during your recovery to see how the bone is healing.
Once we’re happy your implants are firmly positioned, we’ll place your final dentures.

What Does Treatment Involve?
The dental or mini implants are fitted during a simple procedure under local anaesthetic.
Once the jaw is ready for the implant, it’s screwed into place. The gum tissue is replaced and stitched, and the whole area is left to heal for a few weeks. Once we’re happy that the implants are in place, we’ll attach your dentures.
How Complicated is Denture Stabilisation?
Denture stabilisation is a simple and safe process, as you only need a few titanium screws to hold an existing set of dentures in place. Of course, this also makes the procedure much more affordable.
We can stabilise any dentures using this fixed or removable treatment, while mini dental implants can help if you’ve already suffered bone deterioration.
Is the treatment painful?
Most patients find treatment less uncomfortable and invasive than expected. Anaesthetic prevents pain during the procedure, and IV sedation is an option if you’re nervous about treatment.
There is also the option to speak to past patients regarding the ins and outs of the procedure to help you make an informed decision.
