How Botox Works
Botox is a popular branded anti-wrinkle treatment. We’ll carefully inject the treatment into the affected areas, and the neurotoxic proteins relax the muscles and reduce wrinkles.
Anti-wrinkle injections use safe doses of Botulinum-A Toxin, a solution with several medical uses, like treating migraines, strokes, and cerebral palsy. Every dose is carefully calculated and administered by highly trained clinicians.
WHAT DOES BOTOX INVOLVE?
Before we begin, we‘ll discuss the areas that you’d like to target. Once our aims are established, we’ll plan your treatment. If you’d like, we can numb your skin beforehand for maximum comfort.
We’ll use a fine needle to inject small, safe quantities of Botox into the treatment area.
HOW LONG DO THE RESULTS LAST?
The results of Botox last for around six to nine months. Once you feel the effects are starting to wear off, you can return to The Dental Suite for a top-up treatment.

HOW DERMAL FILLERS WORK
Dermal fillers use hyaluronic acid (HA); a naturally-occurring substance that provides lubrication and hydration to your joints, eyes, and skin. Like collagen, HA production slows with age.
Injections of HA add volume to loose skin, hydrating and rejuvenating while providing a healthy appearance.
THE DERMAL FILLER TREATMENT PROCESS
We’ll start with a brief consultation to discuss the areas you’d like to improve. Everyone is unique, and we’ll tailor your treatment to your needs.
You can choose from liquid fillers (used for hydration), thin fillers (used on thin lines on the face) or thick fillers (used to fill deep folds or to add volume). We can discuss your treatment options, explaining the differences so you can make an informed decision. Our dermal filler treatments include Juvederm, Radiesse, Restylane and Teosyal.
Your minimally invasive treatment is brief, and the results are instantly visible, lasting for 9-12 months.
After treatment, you can go about your day as usual. You may experience mild tightness or swelling around the injection site; however, this will clear within a couple of days.

HOW LONG DOES BELOTERO® LAST?
The results of Belotero® last several months. Hyaluronic acid naturally degrades over time; however, you can have top-up injections after around five to nine months to maintain your appearance.
ARE THERE ANY SIDE EFFECTS?
Reported side effects are rare. However, you may experience slight swelling, itching, bruising, pain, or tenderness around the injection site after treatment. These symptoms will pass quickly on their own.
WHAT IS RADIESSE?
Radiesse is a dermal filler that contains artificial calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) microspheres in a water-footed gel carrier. This non-invasive treatment provides exceptional, long-lasting results by encouraging your body to manufacture collagen.
WHAT AREAS CAN RADIESSE TREAT?
This versatile dermal filler treatment can improve:

HOW LONG DOES RADIESSE LAST?

ARE THERE ANY SIDE EFFECTS TO RADIESSE?
After treatment, you may experience a minor reaction. This could include mild swelling, itching, pain, discolouration, or bruising; however, this usually disappears after a couple of days.

How many types of filler are available?
Currently, we have four types of dermal filler for you to choose from. These are Juvederm, Restylane, Radiesse and Teosyal. These fillers are regarded as the best on the cosmetic market, and we will be happy to discuss with you which would be most suitable for you.
Our current procedures are as follows:
- Belotero – this will provide your lips or cheeks with more volume.
- Liquid fillers – these fillers provide hydration for the skin.

- Thin fillers – these add more volume to thinning areas of the face.
- Thick fillers – these will decrease the appearance of deep lines and wrinkles on the face.
How long do dermal filler results last for?
Our dermal fillers are designed to last from 6 to 12 months, with the option to return for top-up treatments at a later date.
What can line-smoothing injections treat?
Our line-smoothening treatments are used to target these issues:
- Crows’ feet around the eyes
- Forehead lines/brow furrow
- Wrinkles on the face and neck
How long do the results last for?
Line-smoothening treatments are a temporary solution and typically last as long as 3-4 months. Once the effects have worn off, we welcome you back to The Dental Suite for another session.
What does the Botox procedure involve?
During your consultation, we will discuss with you the areas that you’d like to target. Once this has been established, we will then get to work on the treatment procedure. If you’d like, the skin can be anaesthetised beforehand so that your comfort is maximised.
The treatment will involve a very fine needle being injected into the chosen areas of the skin. We use Botox in such small quantities that it is considered very safe, and treatment only takes a maximum of 45 minutes. There’s no need to worry about taking time to recover because as soon as the treatment is finished you can return to daily life as normal.
How long do Botox results last?
Botox is a non-permanent, long-lasting treatment, and the results last for between 6-9 months. Once you feel that the effects are starting to wear off, you will be able to come back to The Dental Suite for top-up treatment.
