Chemical Peel

Chemical peels aim to treat the lower layers of the skin, and are a very popular non-surgical treatment here at The Dental Suite.

We provide our patients with a medium chemical peel, perfect for enhancing the appearance of the facial skin. Chemical peels are used to treat acne scarring, age spots, sun-damaged skin and wrinkles. The peel is designed to penetrate the skin, removing the damaged layers.

What are the different types of chemical peel?

At The Dental Suite, we offer two types of peel: the Glycolic Peel and the Innovation Concept Peel (ICP).

Glycolic Peel

This is designed to penetrate the upper layers of the skin, exfoliating and hydrating the surface. This treatment is popular with patients who suffer with acne, thick layers of hard skin, and wrinkles.

ICP

Popular with patients suffering with age spots, hyperpigmentation and sun-damage, this peel is appropriate for treating skin pigmentation problems.

Dermal Fillers

Quite literally, the aim of dermal fillers is to ‘fill out’ lines and wrinkles. As well as this, dermal fillers are used to add definition to the cheeks or create fuller lips.

All of our fillers are made up of hyaluronic acid, a substance found within the human body, most commonly as a lubricant in the joints and eyes. As we age, the amount of hyaluronic acid within our bodies decreases and causes our skin to look dull and dry.

What are dermal fillers used for?

Our dermal fillers are perfect for treating the following problems:

• Forehead and furrow lines
• Scars

• Sunken cheeks
• Thin or narrow lips

How many types of filler are available?

Currently, we have four types of dermal filler for you to choose from. These are Juvederm, Restylane, Radiesse and Teosyal. These fillers are regarded as the best on the cosmetic market, and we will be happy to discuss with you which would be most suitable for you.

Our current procedures are as follows:

• Belotero – this will provide your lips or cheeks with more volume.
• Liquid fillers – these fillers provide hydration for the skin.
• Radiesse – these fillers stimulate the production of collagen, making the skin naturally firm.
• Thin fillers – these add more volume to thinning areas of the face.
• Thick fillers – these will decrease the appearance of deep lines and wrinkles on the face.

How long do dermal filler results last for?

Our dermal fillers are designed to last from 6 to 12 months, with the option to return for top-up treatments at a later date.

Dermaroller

Dermaroller is a small, hand-held piece of equipment containing thousands of micro-needles, and is used to decrease the appearance of wrinkles, scars and cellulite. The needles stimulate collagen and elastin production, allowing your skin to remain full and firm.

Without causing any damage, the micro-needles open up the pores of the skin, triggering a healing process which guarantees the production of collagen and elastin. The pores are left open for about an hour, during which time we will insert a variety of creams and lotions to keep the skin looking radiant.

Due to its long-lasting effects and accuracy, Dermaroller is one of our favourite facial rejuvenation treatments.

Line-smoothing treatments

If you have existing wrinkles that are making you unhappy, line-smoothening injections are the ideal treatment for you.

During this procedure, a chemical solution (a toxin produced by clostridium botulinum) is injected directly into the problem area. The solution will block the nerve signals that normally cause your muscles to relax. The muscles will be temporarily paralysed by the injection, meaning that they will be unable to create lines and wrinkles.

Each injection will only take a few minutes.

What can line-smoothing injections treat?

Our line-smoothening treatments are used to target these issues:

• Crows’ feet around the eyes
• Forehead lines/brow furrow
• Wrinkles on the face and neck

How long do the results last for?

Line-smoothening treatments are a temporary solution and typically last as long as 3-4 months. Once the effects have worn off, we welcome you back to The Dental Suite for another session.
