Why is a wax up necessary before cosmetic dental treatment with Leicester Loughborough Nottingham Dentist

article by Raha Sepehrara
If you are undergoing cosmetic dental treatment, at the Dental Suite we always recommend our patients to have a wax up prepared by the lab technician prior to starting with the veneer/crown/bridge work.
The reasons why a wax up is such an essential step in cosmetic dental treatment are listed below:
1- to see the shape of the teeth, so that you can check the length and the width and any changes can be made prior to the definitive restorations
2- can be used to make temporary crowns/veneers
3- to check function and bite forces when used as temporaries, so if any issues are present with the bite these can be corrected prior to the definitive restorations
