The Dental Suite: So before you came to see us here at the Dental Suite, how were you feeling?
Patient: I can’t really describe how nervous I was. It wasn’t just the normal butterfly feeling you get if you’re anxious or apprehensive – I was genuinely frightened. Since I was young, I’ve always been nervous before the dentists but it really took hold of me this time. I was even crying at the door, it was that bad.
Since you visited the Dental Suite, how would you say your experience has been? Have any of your pre-visit fears been alleviated?
If you’d have asked me before the treatment, I would have been positive that I’d have still been as terrified of the dentists as I’d ever been. But – and I never thought I’d say this – my experience has actually been a very, very good one. Everyone here has been extremely friendly and welcoming, which really helps you feel more at ease.
All the staff are so patient with me, especially when I don’t feel like I can go into the room before the treatment or when I need to stop anything for a bit of respite. Everybody has been lovely and that’s made such a difference.
What treatment have you had here? Would you say that you’re happy with the result?
I had a root canal on both my lower and upper sets of teeth, and I am more than happy with everything that needed to be done. The treatment itself ran smoothly, and I haven’t had to deal with any pain after whatsoever which has been a huge relief for me.
Would you recommend the team here at the Dental Suite to your friends and family?
Oh, without a doubt. Absolutely. In fact I’ve already recommended you to my mum, and now she’s signed up to be a patient too! None of my friends can believe how much my attitude to the dentist has changed, either. I wouldn’t have gone for a root canal anywhere in Loughborough as little as a few months ago – now I just tell them that the Dental Suite helped me so much, and now the dentist is much easier for me to face.
