LINE SMOOTHENING INJECTIONS

What are line smoothening injections?

We inject a solution containing a toxin produced by Clostridium botulinum. This type of treatment can be used to prevent wrinkles or to iron out existing lines and folds

How does it work?

This toxin blocks muscle contraction. Injecting this solution into the affected area temporarily paralyses those muscles responsible for frowning and wrinkling, giving the face a more relaxed and pleasant appearance. The wrinkles become smoother or disappear altogether.

What can be treated with these injections?

  • Frown lines
  • Horizontal forehead lines
  • Eyebrow lift
  • Crow's feet

How long do the effects last?

On average 3-4 months.

DERMAL FILLERS

What are dermal fillers?

These are solutions containing hyaluronic acid

Why use Hyaluronic acid?

  • Hylaronic acid (HA) is present in most human tissue & it binds water molecules to keep the skin hydrated.
  • Thus, maintaining the structure & thickness of skin. HA attracts water, protects tissue & is a powerful antioxidant.
  • Loss of HA causes the skin to age
  • It is a temporary dermal filler and is naturally broken down. Hyaluronic acid is less likely to cause allergic reactions than any other type of filler

What can you treat with dermal fillers?

  • Lip plumping
  • Smokers lines around the lips
  • Smile lines
  • Scar reduction
  • Improvement of lines and folds
  • Cheek enhancement
  • Plumping the skin of hands for a rejuvenating effect

Treatment options

We use Restylane, Teosyal  Juverderm and Radiesse. There are various makes and consistencies available on the market and the choice of filler will depend on what the patient wants to achieve

  • Liquid fillers-hydration
  • Thin fillers- thin skin areas & superficial injections
  • Thick fillers- Deep folds & volume correction
  • Radiesse - lifts and stimulates own collagen
  • Belotero - Gives volume to the lips and the cheeks

How long do the effects last?

Usually 6-12 months

DERMAROLLER

What is dermaroller?

Dermal roller is a precision engineered hand held device that helps reduce the apperance of scars, wrinkles, uneven skin tone, stretch marks and cellulite. Micro skin needling encourages collagen and elastin production within the skin and helps to reduce the appearance of skin imperfections making the skin smoother brighter healthier and younger. Dermal roller opens up the pores on the top layer of the skin without damaging them. The pores close approximately an hour after using the roller, during which time your skins ability to soak up the nutrients of skin creams and lotions to increase moisture absorption into the skin. It has similar results to laser treatments, chemical peels and is less invasive.

How does it work?

Pin point punctures are made, which push the pores open temporarily.   The body responds by initiating the healing process by releasing growth factors and triggering the production of collagen and elastin in the skin. By persistently triggering the healing process the body continues to heal itself until the desired cosmetic level of skin repair is achieved.

CHEMICAL PEELS

What is a chemical peel?

A chemical peel is a medium depth peel that penetrates the lower layer skin surface.  A TCA solution is used to soften fine lines and treat acne, hyper pigmentation, rejuvenate flaccid and sun damaged skin and freshen the appearance of the skin.

GLYCOLIC PEELS

What is a glycolic peel?

Glycolic acid derives from sugar cane. Glycolic acid goes under the damaged upper layers of the skin and destroys the "glue" which holds dead skin to the surface. This acid also helps to draw moisture into the newly exfoliated surface. The peel combines the benefit of glycolic and salicylic for better penetration to the skin. Recommended for acne, itchy flaky red skin, thick scaly or crusty dry rough patches, age spots, pustules, hyper pigmentated areas and for wrinkles.

INNOVATION CONCEPT PEEL (ICP)

What is ICP?

ICP is a medium peel for darker skins which aims at reducing pigmentation areas, such as pigmented spots, age spots, sun damaged areas.
